Issued at 1:00 pm. today, November 12, 2013, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that at 1:00 p.m., the location of Tropical Depression "ZORAIDA" was estimated based on all available data over Rosario, Agusan Del Sur or at 28 South of Hinatuan (8.3°N, 126.1°E). 

PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Typhoon ZORAIDA Update (November 11, 2013)

Issued at 5:00 pm. today, November 11, 2013, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that at 4:00 p.m. today, the location of Tropical Depression "ZORAIDA" was located based on all available data at 634 km Southeast of Hinatuan (5.8°N, 131.5°E).

Forecast:

Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and and coming from the Northeast to North over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be with moderate to rough.

PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Typhoon YOLANDA Update (November 8, 2013)

Issued at 5:00 pm. today, November 8, 2013, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that at 4:00 pm today, the eye of Typhoon "YOLANDA" was located based on all available data including Mactan Doppler radar at 115 km west of Roxas City or over the water off the western coast of Antique (11.4°N, 121.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 40 kph.

PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Typhoon YOLANDA Update (November 7, 2013)

Issued at 9:00 pm. today, November 7, 2013, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that the eye of Typhoon "YOLANDA" was located based on all available data at 338 km East Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.2°N, 128.7°E ).

Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) Update

Typhoon Yolanda with international name "Haiyan" continues to intensify as it traverses the west Pacific Ocean towards the Philippines Wednesday, November 6, and could be a very destructive super typhoon by the time it reaches land.

PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Tropical Storm 'AURING' Update (January 4, 2013)

Issued at 5:00 pm. today, January 4, 2013, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that at 4:00 p.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm ":AURING" was estimated based on all available data at 460 km southwest of Puerto Princesa City (8.6°N, 114.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move west at 20 kph. Intertropical convergence zone (ITZ) affecting Mindanao. Northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.

 

Forecast:

Mindanao and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley will experience cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds coming from the northeast will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

	All Public Storm Warning Signals are now lowered. Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 - 20 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 200 km diameter of the Tropical Storm. Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and the western seaboards of Southern Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon. PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Tropical Storm 'QUINTA' Update (December 26, 2012)

Issued at 5:00 pm. today, December 26 2012, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that at 4:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Depression "Quinta" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 90 km east of Coron, Palawan (11.7°N, 121.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph. It is forecast to move west at 24 kph. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

Forecast:

MIMAROPA and Western Visayas will experience rains with gusty winds. CALABARZON, Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be cloudy with light rains.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon, Central and Western Visayas and coming from the northeast and east over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.

It is forecast to move west at 24 kph. Northeast monsoon affecting Luzon.

Forecast:

The provinces of Eastern and Western Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, northern Cebu including Camotes Island, Bohol, Dinagat, Siargao and Surigao Del Norte will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. The rest of Visayas and CARAGA and the provinces of Misamis Oriental including Camiguin Island, Northern Samar and Masbate including Ticao Island will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. CALABARZON, the rest of Bicol and Mindanao will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora will experience cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.
