PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Tropical Depression "Ramon" (October 13, 2011)

At 5:00 p.m. today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that  the Tropical Depression "Ramon" continues to move in a Northwest direction. It was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 270 km West of Metro Manila (14.3°N, 118.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move Northwest at 19 kph.

Forecast:

Luzon and Western Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the  southwest with slight to moderate seas.

Tropical Depression "RAMON" continues to move in a Northwest direction.

Forecast Positions/Outlook: Friday afternoon: 450 km West of Vigan, Ilocos Sur
Saturday morning:850 km West of Laoag City

All Public Storm Warning Signals are now lowered.

Fishing boats and other small sea vessels are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
