At 2:00 p.m. today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that the Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 130 km Southeast of Puerto Princesa City (8.8°N, 118.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Forecast:
The whole country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the Eastern section of Southern Luzon, Palawan and Eastern Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the East to Northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds blowing from the East and Southeast will prevail over Visayas and coming from the South to Southeast over Mindanao. The coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.

At 8 am today, the Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 240 km East Southeast of Puerto Princesa, Palawan (9.0°N 121.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao
These weather systems will bring scattered rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao becoming widespread over the extreme Eastern Visayas and Northeastern Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
