Miss World 2012 is Wenxia Yu of China; Miss Philippines is One the 15 Finalists

Miss World 2012 is China PR Wenxia Yu, a model from China. The 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant took place at the Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China on Saturday, August 18, 2012.

Reigning Miss World Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela crowned her successor Miss China PR Wenxia Yu, who won the title of Miss World 2012 on Saturday during the pageant held in China's Dongsheng stadium in the desert city of Ordos. Miss Wales Sophie Moulds and Miss Australia Jessica Kahawaty came second and third respectively.

Miss Wenxia Yu who beat out 115 other candidates is a model from China.

Meanwhile, Miss Philippines Queneerich Rehman was among the top 15 finalists. 

From the 15 semi-finalists, they're trimmed down to Top 7 namely Miss Jamaica, Miss South Sudan, Miss India, Miss Australia, Miss Brazil, Miss China PR  and Miss Wales.

The pageant night was started with TV host Myleene Klass and American actor Jason Cook who welcomed the audience.

The stunning 116 contestants were introduced individually to the audience as they walked the ramp. The crowd is buzzing with different country names as Mongolian warriors performed live on stage.

The show starts with an audio visual presentation of all the 116 contestants praising the beautiful city and culture of Shanghai and Changsu. The post card video shows the spectacular time the contestants had in China where they witnessed China's greatest performing acts.

The Miss World Philippines 2012 is Miss Queenierich Rehman of Las Piñas City who will be luckily the country’s representative to Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China this coming August 18, 2012. Hosted by "Game ‘N’ Go" host Edu Manzano and former Miss World 2nd Princess Ruffa Gutierrez, the Miss World Philippines 2012 Coronation Night was aired live on TV5 from the Manila Hotel with the 25 charming candidates vied for the title.

Miss World Philippines 2012 celebrates “beauty with a purpose, underscoring the advocacy of Miss World in championing the cause of marginalized women and children.”

It's official, Ruffa Gutierrez announced Queenierich Rehman of Las Piñas City as the Miss World Philippines 2012, crowned by the reigning titleholder Gwendoline Ruais (Miss World Philippines 2011). Rehman beat out other 24 candidates from different parts of the country. She was also awarded as the Miss Photogenic, Miss Talent, Miss Philippines Prudential, Miss World Traveler, Best in Swimwear, Miss Pantene and Miss A-M-Azing.

Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Winners Revealed! - Janine Tugonon is Bb. Pilipinas Universe

The winners of Binibining Pilipinas 2012, the 49th edition of Binibining Pilipinas were crowned early Monday its newest beauty queens namely Janine Tugonon, as Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, Nicole Schmitz as Bb. Pilipinas-International and Katrina Jayne Dimaranan as Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism. 

The glittering grand coronation of Bb. Pilipinas 2012 was held at Smart Araneta on Sunday night, April 15, 2012 and was telecast in ABS-CBN and Velvet Channel, hosted by Xian Lim, Iza Calzado, Ms. Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj and Georgina Wilson. Directed by Johnny Manahan.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) though the judges crowns the Miss Universe Philippines 2012, Bb. Pilipinas International 2012 and Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2012 out from the 30 official candidates on the pageant night.

The winners received more than prestige, a crown and a sash. They also receives a prize packages that run up to millions of pesos. The winners also automatically becomes the object of national accolade and will be the endorsers of several name brands.

Paula M. Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization says that winning the crown “means an opportunity to represent one’s country and a chance to compete for the most recognized title in the world. Eventually, this same woman will lend her voice to important social causes.”

Leila Lopes, the current Miss Universe who hails from Angola shares a message for all the thirty Binibining Pilipinas 2012 contestants, “This is where it all starts. I hope you embrace this experience and enjoy every minute you compete. You are all accomplished and skillful women who have the opportunity to represent your country. The power of the crown and the sash motivate me to continue my work and raise awareness for my causes.”

Happy Yipee Yehey ‘My Girl’ 2012 is Koreen Medina - List of Winners

ABS-CBN’s Happy Yipee Yehey (HYY) ended its show today, February 4, 2012 with the grand finals of its grandest beauty pageant on TV, the ‘My Girl’. The event was aired live from the AFP Theater and the show declared Koreen Medina of Quezon City as the winner of  the  pageant.

Twenty-four candidates from across the regions had competed to gain the title as this year's 'y Girl' and it was Koreen Medina who got the crown and hailed as this year's 'My Girl'.

During the pageant, the program’s hosts Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Rico J Puno Pokwang, Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Manalo, John Pratts, Matteo Guidicelli, and Bentong, have rendered truly entertaining performances.

As “My Girl” grand winner, Koreen Medina received P1-million peso cash, a 20-thousand worth of BNY gift certificates, 100-thousand worth of slimming services from Allure Body Contours, a Redfox Notebook, a G.E. Camera and a chance to finally become a star through the Star Magic contract. Being hailed as Texter’s Choice, Koreen also took home a Brand New Car sponsored by BNY. Aside from that, she also won Best in Festival Costume making her a big winner with P50k cash prize and Best in Swimsuit winning P50k cash and a diamond ring worth P100k.

The “My Girl” pageant is one of the most remarkable segments in “Happy Yipee Yehey,” alongside “Pera O Bayong,” “Ikaw Ang Bida,” “Batang Genius” and “Miss KB, which is also a pageant for housemaids. Recently, the show enthralled everyone when it launched its hilarious “Who’s That Girl” and “Feeling Genius” segments. Like “Pera O Bayong,” “Susi Ng Kapalaran” has also hailed millionaires and jeepney winners.
