NCAE Postponed in Luzon - September 30, 2011 Next Schedule

The Department of Education announced on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, the postponement of the National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) from September 28 to September 30, 2011 as the next schedule.

Due to unexpected weather brought by Typhoon Pedring, DepEd postponed the schedule of NCAA today, September 28, 2011 in several areas of Luzon. The next schedule will be on Friday, September 30 2011.

DepEd Undersecretary Alberto Muyot advised that the postponement will allow for the preparation of test centers and delivery of test materials tomorrow, September 29.

He also noted that the typhoon has caused operational and administrative limitations in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, CAR, and the NCR.

All other areas, according to DepEd, shall continue to hold the NCAE on Wednesday as provided for in DepEd Memorandum No. 153, s. 2011 and in the enclosure of DepEd Order No. 28, s. 2011.

The NCAE is conducted by the education department “to give sufficient time for comprehensive career guidance to high school students before they enter the tertiary level.” Third year students are obliged to take the test.
