38th MMFF (2012) - List of Winners

The winners of the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2012) were revealed Thursday night, December 27, 2012, during its Gabi ng Parangal (Awards Night) at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City.

26th PMPC Star Awards for TV 2012 - List of Winners

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) presented its 26th Star Awards for Television on Sunday night, November 18, 2012 at Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo De Manila, Quezon City.


This year's Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Kapuso veteran actress Gloria Romero, while the Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed to Tina Monzon-Palma and Natatanging Alagad Ng Telebisyon Award to German Moreno.

26th Star Awards for TV 2012 - Nominees Revealed by PMPC

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) has released the official nominees of the 26th Star Awards for TV. The awards night will be on November 18, 2012 at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater of Ateneo De Manila University in Katipunan Road, Quezon City.


This year's Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Kapuso veteran actress Gloria Romero, while the Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award will be bestowed to Tina Monzon-Palma and Natatanging Alagad Ng Telebisyon Award to German Moreno.

34th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) 2012 - List of Winners

The 34rth Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) 2012 was held on September 25, 2012 at CCP Complex in Pasay City.


As it recognized Kapamilya, Kapuso and Kapatid programs, CMMA said that this year's awarding ceremony pays tribute to media products that enhance the total human development of the Filipino audience.

The event was hosted by GMA News TV's "Ang Pinaka" hosts Betong and  Maey.

Miss World 2012 is Wenxia Yu of China; Miss Philippines is One the 15 Finalists

Miss World 2012 is China PR Wenxia Yu, a model from China. The 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant took place at the Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China on Saturday, August 18, 2012.


Reigning Miss World Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela crowned her successor Miss China PR Wenxia Yu, who won the title of Miss World 2012 on Saturday during the pageant held in China's Dongsheng stadium in the desert city of Ordos. Miss Wales Sophie Moulds and Miss Australia Jessica Kahawaty came second and third respectively.

Miss Wenxia Yu who beat out 115 other candidates is a model from China.

Meanwhile, Miss Philippines Queneerich Rehman was among the top 15 finalists. 

From the 15 semi-finalists, they're trimmed down to Top 7 namely Miss Jamaica, Miss South Sudan, Miss India, Miss Australia, Miss Brazil, Miss China PR  and Miss Wales.

The pageant night was started with TV host Myleene Klass and American actor Jason Cook who welcomed the audience.

The stunning 116 contestants were introduced individually to the audience as they walked the ramp. The crowd is buzzing with different country names as Mongolian warriors performed live on stage.

The show starts with an audio visual presentation of all the 116 contestants praising the beautiful city and culture of Shanghai and Changsu. The post card video shows the spectacular time the contestants had in China where they witnessed China's greatest performing acts.

The Miss World Philippines 2012 is Miss Queenierich Rehman of Las Piñas City who will be luckily the country’s representative to Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China this coming August 18, 2012. Hosted by "Game ‘N’ Go" host Edu Manzano and former Miss World 2nd Princess Ruffa Gutierrez, the Miss World Philippines 2012 Coronation Night was aired live on TV5 from the Manila Hotel with the 25 charming candidates vied for the title.


Miss World Philippines 2012 celebrates “beauty with a purpose, underscoring the advocacy of Miss World in championing the cause of marginalized women and children.”

It's official, Ruffa Gutierrez announced Queenierich Rehman of Las Piñas City as the Miss World Philippines 2012, crowned by the reigning titleholder Gwendoline Ruais (Miss World Philippines 2011). Rehman beat out other 24 candidates from different parts of the country. She was also awarded as the Miss Photogenic, Miss Talent, Miss Philippines Prudential, Miss World Traveler, Best in Swimwear, Miss Pantene and Miss A-M-Azing.
