PAG-ASA Public Weather Forecast - Low Pressure Area (LPA) (October 4, 2011)

At 2:00 p.m. today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 760 km East of Visayas (10.5°N, 133.5°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Manila Bay: Slight to Moderate

Forecast:

Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the Northeast to East will prevail over Luzon and coming from the Northwest over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
