Tagum City, Davao del Norte - celebrates once again the Mindanao’s biggest "Durian Festival" and its going to be from September 9 to September 25, 2011 at the Trade & Cultural Center and Rotary Park.
This year's celebration highlights "Mindanao's Biggest Culinary Olympics" and will showcase 16 culinary competitions such as: Durian Filled Bread, Durian Kakanin, Durian Pie, Durian Main Dish, Durian Plated Dessert, Durian Petit Four, Durian Entremet, Celebration Cake, and Durian Dessert Buffet; to feature extreme flair factor competitions such as cocktail and mocktail; restaurant complete service; waiters relay; chief's relay; fruit and vegetable carving.
There will also be durian cracking and eating, best durian fruit competition, best float competition, food baskets in the barangays, chef's relay, competitions in coffee blending, and seminars on disease management of durian.
