MANILA, Philippines – Suspected members of the New People’s Army (NPA) attacked 3 warehouses and a banana plantation owned by DOLE Philippines in Surigao del Sur on Sunday.
Tago town police said the suspects burned 3 of the company's warehouses in Barangay Anahao Daan around 11 p.m.
Police authorities added the rebels also burned 3 dump trucks, 2 power generators and a motorcycle.
After their burning rampage, the rebels also slashed 8 hectares of banana trees at the company's plantation.
