Eat Bulaga (EB Universe 2011) - Trends in Twitter Worlwide on Satuday and Sunday

Eat Bulaga, the longest running noontime variety show in Philippines conducted its first ever EB Universe 2011 on Saturday, September 17, 2011 which according to its host, the most prestigious, ambitious, ultimate, and fastest beauty pageant in the universe. Funny isn't it?

The pageant was hosted by daberkads Pia Guanio and Michael V and guess what, the judges were not presented and shown on the entire pageant.

It was dubbed as the fastest beauty pageant in the universe because there were only 5 candidates vying for the title as the EB Universe 2011. The candidates were narrowed directly to Top 5 without any preliminary rounds and the 5 candidates who automatically the Top 5 were:

1. Miss SoBra-Zil - Brazil Valde (Petite)

2. Miss Philippines - Shamcey Mwah Mwah Tsup Tsup (Paolo Ballesteros)

3. Miss Lukraine - Basilia Crispina Stefanko (Michelle O Bombshell)

4. Miss Pa-China - Li-Jung-Kai (Ate Gay)

5. Miss Pangola - Sarah Of Angola, Saranggola (Allan K)

Question and Answer portion was followed after the introduction number and winners were declared afterwards. Miss Sarah Of Angola, Saranggola of  Pangola was crowned as the first ever EB Universe 2011 after insisting that her answer is right even the host Pia Guanio told her that her answer was wrong. What was really funny after the coronation is when the audience had walked out (a set-up) after declaring Miss Sarah Of Angola, Saranggola as the winner.

The pageant was indeed the happiest segment of Eat Bulaga that time. In fact, EB UNIVERSE 2011 trended on Twitter Philippines and worldwide on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

On Monday, September 19, 2011, in view of the strong and persistent public demand, Eat Bulaga announced that there will be a re-pageant on Saturday to clarify who really eligible to win the crown.

September 24 has come and as expected EB Universe had watched by many fans and gone wild once again and this time, Miss Venezuelat (Wally B), the eliminated candidate in the first pageant  last September 17 had entered the much awaited event. Like the usual pageant, there was a talent portion which presented by the 6 candidates for only 10 seconds.

To show the transparency of the pageant, winners were chosen by means of a raffle draw.  Miss Shamcey Mwah Mwah Tsup Tsup of  Philippines was crowned as the first ever  and final EB Universe 2011. Unfortunately, Miss Venezuelat who really expecting to win the pageant didn't received any awards.
