Here are the Official List of  Holidays in the Philippines for the year 2011 (based on Proclamation No. 84 signed by Pres. Noynoy Aquino):



 A. Regular Holidays – 2011

  • New Year’s Day – January 1 (Saturday)
  • Araw ng Kagitingan – April 9 (Saturday)
  • Maundy Thursday / Good Friday – April 21 / 22 (Thursday / Friday)
  • Labor Day – May 1 (Sunday)
  • Independence Day – June 12 (Sunday)
  • National Heroes Day – August 29 (Monday)
  • Christmas Day – December 25 (Sunday)
  • Rizal Day – December 30 (Friday)
B. Special (non-working) holidays – 2011

  • Ninoy Aquino Day – August 21 (Sunday)
  • End of Ramadan – August 30 (Tuesday)
  • All Saints’ Day – November 1 (Tuesday)
  • New Year’s Eve – December 31 (Saturday)
  • 150th Anniversary of birth of Jose Rizal – June 20 (Monday)
- May 2, 2011 is NOT a holiday, according to Palace spokesperson Edwin Lacierda.

C. Others
  • 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution anniversary - February 25 (Friday) – No classes only for schools
  • Eid’l Fit’r (Last Day of Ramadan) and Eid’l Adha (Islam Feast of Sacrifice) – August 30 (Tuesday)
