Julie Anne Peñaflorida San Jose or simply Julie Ann tagged as the "Musical Pop Princess" is a singer and actress who is in contract with GMA Network. She started her career as a singer in 2005 when she competed in Popstar Kids, a national televised singing competition for children aged 7 to 11.
She made her acting debut in the telenovela Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan. Julie Anne appeared together with Elmo Magalona, in the short film "RedMask" and the rap musical "Elmo and Julie Anne: A Wazak Love Story", produced by Party Pilipinas, and just recently she also appeared in the sitcom "Andres de Saya".
In addition to recording studio albums, Julie Ann has also recorded the theme songs for several GMA Network shows, namely Dyesebel, The Last Prince, Pilyang Kerubin, Sisid, and Dwarfina . Aside from singing, she can also play the drums, piano, guitar, flute and lyre.
Just recently, Julie Ann has been the opening act of David Archuleta's 3rd concert in Manila.
Currently, she did some guesting in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga and is a mainstay in the Sunday noontime musical variety show Party Pilipinas where she is already satisfied in showing her singing prowess and recording some covers of the latest popular songs that made her popular in YouTube.
The video of her own cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" had already gained over 4 million views as of today on YouTube. Her following video, “Price Tag” by Jessie J now garnered attention, reaching over 1 million views.
