Earlier today, Facebook announced the integration of Video Calling, Group Chat and a new Chat design. With face-to-face video calling, now you can watch your friends smile, wink and LOL.
Just this night, GMA-7's 24 Oras telecast and tried to use these new features enhanced by Facebook and powered by Skype and its quite amazing.
"Over the last year, the messages team has been working to make it easier to have one on one conversations with your friends. In November, we launched the
new messages, which brings together your chats, texts, emails and messages all in one place", Philip Su said in his post in The Facebook Blog just today, July 7, 2011.
He is so excited to introduce video calling and other improvements to chat.
To get started, visit http://www.facebook.com/videocalling. Click the "Get Started" button, then a new window will pop-up and follow the on-screen manual to download the installer (see screenshot below).
After installation is completed, you can now call your friends for a try and to instantly give them access to Video Calling. In your updated chat-box, select your online firiend to chat, click the video sign (see screenshot below) to make a video call. Your friend will be notified that there is someone asking him for a video chat. If no answer from your friend, you can also leave a video message.
