Suspension of Classes on August 10, 2012

Due to the violent "Hanging Habagat" or Southwest Monsoon despite of improving weather, floods to access roads, schools, houses and other establishments still persist, and that classes will still be suspended in several schools and other educational institutions in Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Thursday, August 10, 2012.


Here is the list of LGUs and schools that declared suspension of classes  through to Friday, August 10 (as of 4:53 PM):

METRO MANILA:
  • Caloocan (all levels)
  • Marikina (all levels) 
  • Navotas (all levels, public and private) 
  • Pasay (all levels)
  • Parañaque
  • Pateros (all levels) 
  • Quezon City (all levels)
  • Valenzuela  (all levels)
OUTSIDE METRO MANILA:
  • Guiguinto, Bulacan
  • Malolos, Bulacan (all levels) 

SCHOOLS/UNIVERSITIES:
  • Adamson University (regular classes resume Monday, August 13)
  • Assumption College (all levels)
  • Ateneo de Manila (classes remain suspended in the AGS, AHS, LS, ASMPH, AGSB, and ASOG)
  • Claret School, all levels  
  • DLSU Taft, Makati, Ortigas
  • Far Eastern University 
  • Letran, Manila Campus (office work as well; regular classes resume Monday, August 13)
  • Manuel L. Quezon University (all levels)
  • Miriam College 
  • San Beda College of Arts and Sciences (classes resume Monday, August 13)
  • St. Paul College, Pasig
  • Xavier School in San Juan, (all levels)
  • University of Sto. Tomas

The government still asking the public to help instill orderliness and care of evacuation premises and properties.
