9th ENPRESS Golden Screen Awards (2012) - List of Winners

The Entertainment Press Society, Inc. (ENPRESS, Inc.) had announced the winners for the 9th Golden Screen Awards which was held Saturday night, March 24, 2012 at Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan City.


This year ENPRESS, Inc. gave recognition among movies and artists that made an impact to the public due to the quality and performance in the past year.

Hosted by John "Sweet" Lapus, the awarding ceremony was attended by various stars including the Superstar Nora Aunor, Jean Garcia, Alden Richards, Ritz Azul, Eula Caballero, Kian Cipriano, Noni, Shamaine Buencamino, Edgar Allan Guzman, Rocco Nacino and many others.

EnPress president Jun Nardo was the one who delivered the opening address while Protege finalist Lovely Embuscado opened the award's night with her own rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You".

Cinemalaya/Martinez Rivera Films/Quantum Films' Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank was the big winner bringing most of the awards including the Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role-Musical or Comedy for Eugene Domingo, Best Director for Marlon Rivera, Best Musical Score for Vincent de Jesus, Best Editing for Ike Veneracion and Best Original Screenplay for Chris Martinez.

Niño was also another big winner, clinching Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role-Drama, Musical or Comedy for Art Acuña and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role-Drama, Musical or Comedy for Shamaine Buencamino.

This year's Lino Brocka Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed to Nora Aunor.
