The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) had announced the winners for the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies that was held Wednesday night, March 14, 2012 at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City.
Hosted by Sarah Geronimo, KC Concepcion, Derek Ramsay, Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis, the star-studded 28th edition of PMPC Star Awards for Movies was held Wednesday night, March 14, 2012 at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City attended by various movie actress and actors, movie directors and producers and many more stars.
Star Cinema's In The Name of Love won most of the acting awards including Best Actor for Aga Muhlach, Best Actress for Angel Locsin and Best Supporting Actor for Jake Cuenca. Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story was also another big winner, clinching again the Best Picture (Movie of the Year) award and sweeping most of the honors, duplicating its feat in the 2011 MMFF.
In the digital movies category, Thelma was a runaway winner with a grab on the Best Digital Film, Best Director for Paul Soriano and Best Screenplay for Direk Paul and Froilan Medina.
