The first-ever Miss World Philippines 2011 which offers the biggest prizes in the history of beauty pageants in the Philippines is happening tonight, September 18, 2011 live on GMA-7 at 10:00 PM. It will be held in the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) at the CCP complex in Pasay City.
The pageant will be hosted by GMA-7 artists Dingdong Dantes, Carla Abellana, and Isabelle Daza with special perfomances from Aljur Abrenica and Mark Bautista who sang the Miss World Philippines theme song.
Twenty five beautiful candidates will compete for the title. The winner of tonight's pageant will receive PhP 1 million cash tax-free, a brand new SMDC condominium unit and GMA management contract. The Top 5 will also be given a from the AMA Computer University, one of the co-presenters of the Miss World Philippines 2011. The grand winner to be crowned by the reigning Miss World 2010 Alexandra Mills will be the representative of the country for Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 2011.
Smart Communications will also donate 20 personal computers inclusive of a one-year free internet usage to the choice underprivileged school of the candidate who has the “most extraordinary” story.
